Information on electrical and electronic (old) appliances<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG) contains a large number of requirements for the handling of electrical and electronic equipment. The most important ones are summarised here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. Separate collection of old appliances<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Electrical and electronic appliances that have become waste are referred to as old appliances. Owners of old appliances must dispose of them separately from unsorted municipal waste. In particular, old appliances do not belong in household waste, but in special collection and return systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Batteries and rechargeable batteries<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

As a rule, owners of old appliances must separate used batteries and accumulators that are not enclosed by the old appliance before handing them in at a collection point.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. Options for returning old appliances<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Owners of old appliances from private households can hand them in at the collection points of the public waste disposal authorities or at the take-back centres set up by manufacturers or distributors in accordance with the ElektroG. 4. Data protection notice<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Old devices often contain sensitive personal data. This applies in particular to information and telecommunications technology devices such as computers and smartphones. In your own interest, please note that each end user is responsible for deleting the data on the old devices to be disposed of.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

5. Meaning of the \"crossed-out wheelie bin\" symbol<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The symbol of a crossed-out dustbin regularly shown on electrical and electronic appliances indicates that the appliance in question must be collected separately from unsorted municipal waste at the end of its service life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

6. Note on our WEEE registration number<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

We are registered with the Stiftung Elektro-Altger\u00e4te Register as a manufacturer of electrical and\/or electronic equipment under the following registration number (WEEE Reg. No. DE): DE 14730824<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Important information on battery disposal<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

In connection with the sale of batteries or the delivery of devices containing batteries, we are obliged to draw your attention to the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As the end user, you are legally obliged to return used batteries. You can return used batteries that we stock or have stocked as new batteries free of charge to our dispatch warehouse (dispatch address). The symbols shown on the batteries have the following meaning:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The crossed-out dustbin symbol means that the battery must not be disposed of with household waste.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can use the clearly recognisable symbols to identify whether the batteries\/rechargeable batteries contain harmful substances.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
